Seminar and Workshop are the two important tools of knowledge transfer and skill enhancement, though there are few differences between these two methods of acquiring knowledge. Seminars are generally presentation – driven and require mechanism that simplify the delivery of information. Workshop, on the other hand, prioritizes active learning and interaction, requiring materials that encourage participation and hands-on learning. Aim of a seminar is to disseminate information or teach about a specific subject. It can introduce new concepts, explore any existing topic in – depth or present innovative research findings. But the main objective of Workshop is to teach practical skills, facilitating problem-solving exercises, or conducting training sessions. Workshop is more interactive than a seminar. Collaborative learning and active engagement are the two important functions of workshop. On the contrary, in a seminar, listening is more important than talking. But in maximum seminars there are question – answer sessions, which is limited interaction. Our college organizes both Seminars and Workshops to enrich our student with knowledge and develop practical skills.
